Ingredients:
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 jar (24 ounces) spaghetti sauce
  • 1 can (14-1/2 ounces) chopped tomatoes, undrained
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil leaves
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 container (15 ounces) of ricotta cheese
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese, divided
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 12 uncooked lasagna noodles

Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 375°F.
  • In a medium skillet over medium-high heat, sauté the ground beef until it no longer has any pink color.
  • Add the spaghetti sauce, diced tomatoes, basil, salt, and pepper to the skillet with the ground beef. Reduce the heat after bringing the mixture to a boil, then let it simmer for ten minutes.
  • Combine the ricotta cheese, 1-1/2 cups of shredded mozzarella cheese, and grated Parmesan cheese in a separate bowl.
  • Pour the beef sauce thinly across the bottom of a 9x13-inch baking dish.
